Option to Buy Amendment
Your Option to Buy
Customer has selected linkUwant's Option to Buy for eDomainRental.com. The Option to Buy gives Customer the right, but not the obligation, to purchase the Domain Name for the Option Purchase Price of $19,900*, subject to the terms of this Amendment.
The Option to Buy allows Customer to begin using the Domain Name today while preserving Customer's opportunity to purchase and own eDomainRental.com in the future.
Lock In Today's Purchase Price*
While Customer's Option to Buy remains active and in good standing, Provider will not increase the Option Purchase Price because the Domain Name, Customer's business, website, traffic, brand, or the market value of the Domain Name has increased.
The Option Purchase Price is subject only to an adjustment for inflation based upon the Consumer Price Index (CPI), as provided in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) Addendum incorporated into Customer's Domain Name Leasing Agreement.
The Option Purchase Price is therefore protected from market-driven increases, and may only increase to reflect inflation.
Option Fee
Customer agrees to pay the Monthly Option Fee or Yearly Option Fee identified above, based upon the payment plan selected by Customer.
The Option Fee is the consideration paid for maintaining Customer's Option to Buy and the protected Option Purchase Price.
The Option Fee is non-refundable and is separate from Customer's Domain Name lease payments. Option Fees paid by Customer do not reduce or otherwise apply toward the Option Purchase Price.
The Option Fee is not subject to CPI adjustments.
Maintaining Your Option to Buy
The Option to Buy is available only while Customer maintains an active Domain Name Lease for eDomainRental.com and keeps the Option to Buy active and in good standing.
Customer has the exclusive right to continue renewing the Option to Buy while the underlying Domain Name Lease remains active and in good standing and the applicable Option Fee is paid when due.
If Customer allows the Domain Name Lease to expire or terminate, or Customer discontinues or fails to renew the Option to Buy, the Option to Buy will terminate and Customer will lose the protected Option Purchase Price.
Once terminated, Provider has no obligation to reinstate the Option to Buy, sell the Domain Name to Customer, or offer Customer the same purchase price in the future.
Exercising Your Option to Buy
Customer may exercise the Option to Buy at any time while both the Domain Name Lease and Option to Buy are active and in good standing.
To exercise the Option to Buy, Customer must notify Provider of Customer's decision to purchase and pay the applicable Option Purchase Price* in full.
Following receipt of cleared payment in full and any information reasonably required to complete the transaction, Provider will transfer ownership and control of the Domain Name to Customer in accordance with applicable registrar, registry, and ICANN requirements.
Upon completion of the transfer, Customer's Domain Name Lease and Option to Buy will terminate because Customer will then own the Domain Name.
No Obligation to Purchase
The Option to Buy gives Customer the right, but not the obligation, to purchase the Domain Name.
Customer may continue leasing the Domain Name without exercising the Option to Buy as long as Customer's Domain Name Lease remains active and in good standing.
If Customer chooses not to maintain the Option to Buy, Customer may continue leasing the Domain Name subject to the Domain Name Leasing Agreement, but Customer will no longer have a protected purchase price or a contractual right to purchase the Domain Name.
Part of Your Domain Name Leasing Agreement
This Option to Buy Amendment supplements and forms part of Customer's Domain Name Leasing Agreement for eDomainRental.com.
Except as specifically modified by this Amendment, the Domain Name Leasing Agreement and its incorporated addendums remain in full force and effect.
If this Amendment conflicts with the Domain Name Leasing Agreement concerning Customer's Option to Buy, the terms of this Amendment control.
Customer Acknowledgment
Customer acknowledges that Customer has reviewed and accepts this Option to Buy Amendment, including the Option Purchase Price*, applicable Option Fee, CPI provisions, and the conditions required to maintain and exercise the Option to Buy.
By electronically accepting this Amendment and submitting the required payment, Customer agrees to be bound by its terms. Electronic acceptance and payment have the same force and effect as Customer's written signature.
* Option Purchase Price: The Option Purchase Price is protected from increases based upon the market value of the Domain Name but remains subject to applicable CPI inflation adjustments.
